Céu de Tarsila
Visual Identity & Vibe Coding Tool
September 2026
Tarsila do Amaral is an iconic Brazilian painter who played a major role in Brazilian Modernism. Her paintings are filled with gradients, but after looking closely at her work, the sky stood out to me. I noticed that it seemed to follow a visual system, and that became my starting point.
This visual identity takes inspiration from the way she depicts the sun, translating its organic shapes, vibrant colors, and playful forms into a generative visual system. Using Claude, I vibe-coded a tool with around five visual variables that can be combined and adjusted to create different versions of the sun, turning a recognizable reference into a flexible visual language.
The system allows users to experiment with these variables and create their own unique suns, while also giving me the ability to generate new assets and expand the identity over time. Rather than relying on one fixed visual element, the identity becomes a living system where each combination feels different while still following the same visual logic.
